Born in 1988 in  South Lebanon, Karam Ghossein is a filmmaker and cinematographer, who lives in Beirut. He holds a degree in Cinema & Television from the Lebanese University, Faculty of Fine Arts. Since 2006, he has worked in the field of cinematography on numerous short experimental, documentary and fiction films, as well as TV productions. His work has been shown at Berlinale, MoMA New York, Centre Pompidou Paris, Tribeca Doha, Guggenheim New York, among others. He recently directed his first film “Street of Death & Other Stories” (2016) commissioned by the Lebanese Association for Plastic Arts – Ashkal Alwan (Lebanon) with support from the Robert A. Matta Foundation, and supported by the Arab Fund for Arts & Culture (AFAC). Ghossein has participated in a number of workshops, including an intensive cinematography workshop organized in collaboration between INSAS Belgium and the Lebanese Film Academy, as well as “Choreographing with the Lens” with Isabel Rocamora.
